Miles  (Distances calculated on a straight line by GPS)
Covered to date:                483
Remaining to Antigua:   1626

Weather: Sunny with clouds, 26° C

Wind: 16-25 knots, NE

Seas: 2-3 meter swells, rough

Sailing:  Even with 2 reefs in the main and a reduced jib, we are flying!  Whoo-hoo!

Crew Well-being and Morale:
Very good, enjoyed the sunshine, brisk sailing and an encounter with another boat (see below)

Lunch:          Alan’s Baked Fish and Salad
Dinner:         Blanquette de Veau with potatoes

Of Special Interest:.
•       Didn’t even try to fish—too rough
•       Crossed paths with an American sailboat mid-morning, a Malo 42 named ‘Bizim’ with 1 Brit and 2 Yanks aboard going to the Grenadines.  Made contact with their skipper over the VHF and took photos of each other sailing which we will e-mail to each other.
•       We’ll be 25% of the way there sometime this evening .

Marineros!
Today 22nd January, looking at the yellow dot on the wide blue surface, you are ''geographically'' in the middle of your Atlantic trip !
Hope the sun is your daily friend !

Blanquette de veau? As you cross the Atlantic? Steve's threatening to jump ship -- he got peanut butter and jam sandwiches between Trini and Grenada on Monday.....
